About
I'm Steve. I build tools for thinking.
For most of my career, I've been obsessed with one question: why do some people seem to make consistently good decisions while others, equally intelligent, keep making the same mistakes?
The answer, I've found, isn't intelligence or luck. It's structure. It's having mental models that compound over time. It's developing judgment through deliberate practice.
Steve's Prompt is my attempt to externalize this process. It's not an AI assistant that gives you answers. It's a thinking partner that helps you see the structure of your own cognition.
The Philosophy
Diagnosis over advice
Most people don't need more information. They need to understand their cognitive state. Are you confused, or waiting for permission? Are you stuck, or avoiding a decision you've already made?
Judgment over knowledge
Knowledge decays. Judgment compounds. The goal isn't to accumulate facts but to develop durable decision frameworks that improve with use.
Clarity over speed
Most productivity tools optimize for doing more, faster. This one optimizes for thinking more clearly. Sometimes that means slowing down.
